Do you remember the eleventh of September?
Your terror made us cry--thousands missing, thousands died--
Many hurting, in pain--will they be "normal" again??
Images we can't erase--nightmares are commonplace--
We feel lost and alone--IF THEY SUFFERED, it's not known--
The World Trade Center attacked by airplanes YOU hijacked--
The Towers are ablaze--the air filled with smoke and haze--
People jump--do they stay? OR IS IT BETTER THIS WAY???
What horrors incurred as the ground rushed up in a blur???
Answer this, our request: GIVEN A CHOICE, what was best???
Where was their peace of mind?? to do this was so unkind--
Our policemen and firemen, how we should honor them--
Rescue and medical teams responded to our screams--
Knowing the risk and danger, they helped friends and strangers--
Saving lives their only goal, they served a vital role--
But the Twin Towers fell--the last moments were pure hell--
At the Pentagon, in D.C., death and misery--
In a Pennsylvania field, more lives lost (it's unreal)--
WHY are you filled with hate against the United States???
You worked here, lived here--FREE--in the Land of Liberty--
Where you had a better life, without terror and strife--
What you've done makes us sad and your terror makes us mad--
You'll be punished for your crime, when caught, you WILL do time,
And I pray for your souls--for your people as a whole--
I can forgive you, yet--it will be hard to forget--
The eleventh of September--DO YOU REMEMBER???
-------------------------------------------------------------
As long we always remember and never forget...do YOU remember???
Karla- pls don't make me cry anymore..its the 4th of July (almost) and we celebrate our past as well as our future..and remember those who walk silently among us, because their Independence was stolen.. xox Donna

I remember! Thank you for writing such a powerful work of art.
The pain reached well across the ocean, and the memory will never fade. But neither will the beams of Light.

How could I ever forget that day,it was when the wotld changed forever.I couldn't believe it then and I still can't,the sight of that tower falling then the next those two people holding hands (like children) falling together....what horror, how could I ever forget that...never will I.
Very well said and done, Karla.
I for one, will never forget.

Karla, I undestand the horror annd your feeling about that state of helplessness.
I only hope that when you point your finger saying you, you have pointed to the right one. Bin Laden had nothing to do with this; be sure!

Precious light,
we all will never forget..As I listen to Gods words, he tells me of a time coming where the chosen will begin gathering..I know it is the sign of the times..I am not afraid because my shephard walks beside me in still waters, renewing my spirit..
here is a prayer ~
O heavenly father
we lift you up and give you all the glory
Father these dark souls are trying to reign this earth
Let the walls come crumbling down of dark
Let them all fall down!
Piece by piece we ask in the name of Jesus
Heal and open our hearts to your light an ONLY your light
Teach all beings we are all intercomnnected
With the mothers fragile web
Teach us to see the beauty you created in us of your lovely, divine image
Wrap our mother earth in shields of snow white light
Blessed are those that follow the Shephard in the field
The little flock waits paitently for the masters voice
Where we will all walk through the shawowed valley
But the meek will not be afraid
For they have the masters rod and staff to protect them
Renewing our souls
In planes of still waters
We pray for a change in our polical systems
That fights to preserve your resources
Father let all the walls of dark FALL DOWN in the blood of jesus
Bless this new day of ours to praise you, walk with you and teach others light
Amen
i am glad to see this reposted; this is even better than the first time, now that you have added the picture! such a heartwrenching write; makes one wonder what must have been going through the terrorists' minds when they savagely attacked our land or if they even felt any remorse for their deplorable actions. you capture many of the feelings those who lost loved ones must have felt; this reads like qusetions they would love to ask the terrorists if they could confront them. a powerful, angry, needed write; "may we never forget"! outstanding write and a much needed write, too! >tears < with much love, your twin, karen lynn. (((HUGS))) :(
