This poem was written to honor my mother the late Beulah Jean Hulse who lost her life in an automobile accident and it was written out of the heart of a lonely trucker that has spent most of his life on the open road to honor all mothers wherever they may be throughout the world.

Dear Mom, please understand that I really do not have words for what I would like to say except that I miss you so much especially every Mother’s Day.

Mom, you were my life, and I always knew that no matter where I might be driving that truck across the United States, my mom would be thinking and praying for me sometimes even staying up late.

Mom, I miss our times together when I would come in after months on the road such as taking you to dinner and waxing your car including cleaning up around your home realizing that your hair is greying from years of showing just how much you care while you fold more clothes.

Mom, I miss you calling to check on my well-being, asking what’s my location and where am I headed with my load, so you can turn the weather channel on and check the weather while brewing your coffee on the stove.

Mom, I miss calling you on your birthday and singing to you acting all crazy just to hear you laugh your very special way, for nothing can compare to a mother's love is what I heard my preacher say.

Dearest Mother, I know I must face the reality that you are in a better place, those beautiful memories will help sustain me till I finish my race.

Mom, I am getting older, and I no longer live for the pleasures of this life, but I live my life for Jesus trying to reach others to leave behind a legacy declaring that I fought a good fight.

Dear Mom, after your passing, God placed an Asian Girl in my life that helped me regain my focus again, her name is Augustina, and we call her God's Asian Princess, her nickname is TinTin

Mom, this girl is not like the others who mistreated me so cruelly, but she loves me unconditionally demonstrating it through her actions by treating me like royalty.

Dear Mom, she said the first time, she looked into my eyes she saw her God, then told me that she is God's Princess
and knows her place in Adam; not above or beneath him but beside him which caught my undivided attention as she spoke of her God telling me that he lives within.

Mom, I know you would love her and Mom, the first year I met her, I bought her mom a cake in your honor for her family in the Philippines to enjoy, but to my surprise dear Mother, she had inscribed on the cake “from Tin Tin and Jerry” which made my cry tears of joy.

Mom, we are now well into our sixth year together and she has made ten trips representing our ministry including a special trip to be with Don Stewart in General Santos, Philippines and it can only get better is what I see, me, Tin, and Jesus throughout all eternity.

Dear Mom, I said I do not have the words to say how I really feel deep down inside, especially living in a world that has lost its way with some looking for a reason to live while others are looking for a place to hide.

Mom, I am just one of the lonely truckers missing his mother on Mother's Day, and dear Mother, the tears staining this computer could almost wash a car, but I just want to close with a word of thanks for always being there for me and I want you to know that a part of you will always live deep within my heart.

Dear Mother, words cannot begin to express the emptiness I feel inside, but until we meet again on that special day when God will open the Pearly Gates for me in the great by and bye you once again will have your loving trucker Son holding your hand standing close by your side.
