This took only about thirty odd seconds to actually happen.

Jessica Dee....

I was there when you were born,
It took so long, we were all forlorne,
Doc said, "Nurse, get up and push!"
Your Momma said, "But Doc, it is my first!"
"Not the problem," he said with haste,
"The cord is wrapped around her waist!"

Up on the table the nurse she flew,
She pushed so hard, that out came you.
Baby girl, you were so blue,
That I was wondrin what to do.

The Doc he slapped and poked a lot,
But breathe for us, no, you would not,
No matter how rough the Doc he got.

Doctor Ritter's eyes, they shot my way,
His worried look, I still see today .
I knew I could do whatever it took.
But intubate my own child...I shook!

My baby girl, my pretty one,
Were things about to come undone?

And 'twas just then you made it known,
That you'd be having none of that.
And screamed so loud, out on your own,
You took us aback, for just a bit,
Girl you threw one hissy fit.

And me, I took a deep breath too,
'Cause loving you was all I'd have to do.
And love me back, you do that too.

So Jessie Dee, with love I say,
I thank the Lord who looked your way,
And touched your tiny lungs that day.

Yes, in your birth I did take part,
And from that day, you've owned my heart.

Coincidentally, my first born daughter's birth was complicated as well. Thankfully, it turned out fine and in January, she brought my first grandchild into this world. She's a sweetie and your verses are intimate with me and how I feel about her. Thank you for sharing this gift, Walt. Love and peace to you,

Regis

Walt sweetie, this was a masterpiece, I still have tears running down my eyes!
A HEART of Gold I see!
YOu were your daughters angel, sent to give her life!
You served that mission and it's strife!
She is so beautiful and looks warmly spirited!
Thank you for this wonderful treasure of love and the bond of a happy family!
