Poem Artwork

Each day I wake up tortured,
Sadness is the first thing on my mind,
For She is not wanting to be kind.
For me she holds unearned contempt,
My life each day she does pre-empt.

Afraid to love too sad to live,
To be free from this nightmarish limbo,
Almost anything I would give.
Time you say all wounds do heal,
This is not the way I feel.
Each day the pain gets worse,
What have I done to deserve this curse?

Is this some Karmic debt unpaid?
Is this my reward for loving, giving, and being tolerant?
I shy away from trust, and reject the thing that I need most.

It's been a while since we did part,
That wasn't the end but only the start.
This gaping wound to my heart may never heal.
At least for now that's how I feel.
Pain, heartache, unending worry,
The end may be some courtroom jury.

Don't give up Walt. I have felt this way, in time it will go away. Right now it is still so fresh. In a while, it may be a long while, you will feel better. Let your friends help you. Those of us who have been there know what you feel and sympathize with the pain you're feel. Hang on even after your fingers start to bleed. All of us are here for you. And we all love you.
Hugs
Ann

Walt as another soul who lived through this I know it does feel like it will never change but it will once you discover you don't need her for you have yourself and you don't need to demand on another...

very interesting, powerful and yet so sad. Heart felt and it is a broken hearted situation that seems to be running rampart upon the beautiful earth. Takes a lot of hard work and immense consideration of the other to have a prolonged/nurturing relationship and or a marriage for that matter.
hopefully true love will find all that seeks it and make for a new and much brighter day~all the best to you!

Blessings Walt,
From the Heart...

Walt, don't give up...lean on family & friends & your beautiful writings to get you through this terrible time. I've fought this battle in my life and I know it is difficult to take another step forward. One day the light will shine to kiss away your sadness and leave you with a smile...because I believe in my prayers.

Each day the pain gets worse,
What have I done to deserve this curse?

I used to ask myself that same question, over and over again, in those days when I thought my life was truly over. But somehow, I made it through, with lots of help from my friends, some of whom were the little furry kind.

Hang in there, my friend, as the song from Poseidon goes - There's got to be a morning after.
