Poem Artwork

From someplace on this earth so very far
She makes me wish upon a star
Not the stars that I do see
Lattitudes dictate what can not be
She makes me wonder of things
Her face I see but can not touch
To me she means so very much
On common ground we stand side to side
Our spirits before have intertwined
That same pain we both do feel
How can it be if time's not real
Our paths have crossed for just a while
And I just know she makes me smile
To give some respite from my pain
Is worth more to me than shiny gold
If only I could, I would her hold
Other men's heart's I can not know
But oh the reality bothers me so
I can never hold a grudge
I only wish  to give a  nudge

Walt

So warm and passionate! Oh how wonderful it is to wish upon a star. Aging beyond youth is no barrier to the passionate longings of mankind in his quest for love.

I love the very thought of wishing on a star. I would take a lot of things I have said and done back and not hurt the ones I love. No more baggage I would carry from hurts I have felt. This was beautifully penned Walt, and I keep wishing upon a star.
Love the write,
Ann

Awwwww...

Love can hurt so badly
The pain is unbearable
The tears unstopable
The out cry understandable
Listen to what I have to say
Give her all the nudges you can
SOmeday you will see
The stars you wished upon
Are much closer than you think!!

She is one very lucky lady

If a man had written ME a poem like this..I will not only give him a nudge....back....lol!!

Most beautiful tribute to your STAR woman Walt!!

Love Tinka

Walt,

Stunning. An inner pain, yet strength: excellent.

There will be many stars to wish on this upcoming weekend: the Perseids are in town. Look to the Northeast. :)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Then Smile On, and write more of these marvelous golden poems, my friend.

Ahhh the reality versus fantasy in the world of the broken hearted is often hard to understand but worth taking the time to explore. Good luck Walt.
