Three Hour Tour

That is her name,
She puts some other boats to shame.
She is fast and sleek, can turn on a dime.

And for me that is just fine.
She's gotten me out of trouble fast,
Where slower boats just wouldn't last.

She does let me sleep sometimes,
Drapped over her soft spine, on autopilot.

My love for her and the sea will always last,
She'll get there but it ain't gonna be fast.

I go in for my semi-annual fill,
Of diesel fuel without a spill.

Just about ten gallons I always say, They shake their heads and walk away.

Ten gallons you want, that's all?
Yes, she is a sailboat after all.
