He walks about with head held high,
Knowing any second he could die.
Just like his friends who some did hate.
Truth and freedom's not on their slate.
Warring factions, should be ashamed,
Care they not, children are killed and maimed.
Each one feels that they are right,
But we are equal in God's sight.
So Abdi-Noor, My African friend,
May angels keep watch over you.
Until this madness finally ends.
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Poem Walt Sweetie!
You got that right, MaY All the Angels watch over him/etc. intently!

Your African friend is my African friend also, Walt. . .I have tried and tried to contact those, in view of their tribulations, to act in accordance with any and all against the terrorism that is trying to lay foundation in Somalia and even the environmental tradgedies that are occuring there.
I know, through our efforts from this end, Somalia and her people might have a chance, but without us, I doubt if they will...
We MUST find resolve for a terror lurking there, for within its time, it too will become all ours, here
I continue. . .
Love and Peace~

A heartfelt write Walt, I too pray that Angles will watch over your friend until this madness finally ends. Blessings, Holly
Wonderful solidarity and strength portrayed here, Walt. Your compassionate and yet manly support will, I'm sure, enrich your bonds of brotherhood and I for one find it deeply moving when men come alongside other men in a show of deep love, understanding and above all, respect. Bless you both and Amen! Love, Kate xx
They made a movie about the tragedies in Africa befalling so many young and old alike. It didn't change a thing, but God I hope your words do the trick, Walt.
Walt, sometimes we watch the mighty warriors of any wars and feel a pain we cannot describe. Most are true leaders and not afraid of anything...facing death is nothing to them. I pray your friend will be safe and continue to be the leader he is. An excellent writing.
War - a lose/lose proposition.
I add my prayers to yours and those who are faced with this madness, "may angels keep watch over you. Until this madness finally ends."
He is truly someone who always speaks from deep within his heart and soul, and you've penned a wonderful tribute to him, Salty Walt.

Beautiful, Walt, and written to someone who truly deserves the tribute. Very well done, indeed!
I have pen-pals over there (Ghana & Uganda) and the pic you chose for this is very appropriate. Every letter from those pen-pals makes me know how very lucky I am to be an American.

He needs the comfort and love portrayed here, Mr. Hardester . . . A terrible time is being had by him and his countrymen . . . If we are not careful, some of that same mentality will rear uts bloody head here in America. People scoff at that notion . . . Just like they scoffed at Hitler and his murderous cutthroats . . .
Some do it for oil, others for religious dominance, most, just for power, the most corrupting of all forces.
A feu can start with two families and inflame a town into two sides, and their country into civil war and the civil war pouring into the neighboor's nations.......and you have a war born from a chicken killed by a little puppy dog that didn't know better.
Great writing and homage Walt.

The anger and hatred continues in a vicious cycle that seems intend on destroying all. I can only echo your sentiments Walt for Abdi-Noor and all of those trapped in this desparate situation.
Abdi noor is going to be touched when he sees this; I too join you in praying for his safety. Beautiful tribute to a truly special man; I too am nonored to call him friend (and you too!)! Very well done; bravo!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D *MWWWWWWWWWAA!* (Big smoochies!!)
Thank you for this Walt, I'm sure Abdi Noor will be hionored by it, he is a dear man and friend and we love his poetry which he does so bravely for his country of Somalia! We have learned much from him over the years. Superb tribute Walt!
If more were like him, Walt, there would be peace. A beautiful, heartfelt tribute; we've all come to know and love Abdi-Noor as a brother and friend. Well done.
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
