Meandering down the road of living,
Our vision obscured by the ever changing opacity of the future.
Hindered by turning to look at a past,
That is always crystal clear.
A vigil must be kept,
Yes, a vigil must be kept.
With steely eyes search the way forward,
Remember actions now are what make it so.
Do try to show some restraint.
The sycophant comes smiling,
Lusting for your essense.
So many variables,
Shape the future.
Feeling helpless?
Live conscientiously now and the future will take care of itself.
An attitude of quiet watchfulness is advisable in these turbulent times, Walt, it's true. I like the sense of mystery to this write and especially the sense of urgency and impact of your repetition. Strikes a slight chord of paranoia, but that's probably just me!
