Escape from the Planet of the Sheep

In a world gone mad, but not in a good way,

I retain my sanity, by writing some poetray.

When more enlisted die in the unjust wars than all those who died on 9-1-1,

can we finally end this total insanity and be done, done?

The Government, Police and Clergy; these we were raised to trust.

Turns out these corrupt patriarchal opportunists are crime’s upper crust!

Those in power need a good reality-slap upside the head,

but not as much as the citizenry whose washed-brains are dead.

Mother Earth is rebelling against her torturous abuse.

Please Mom crush only those responsible into juice.

Question authority?  Once it was an anthem,

it seems to have disappeared, … just like wisdom.

The airhead stigma of LA LA Land citizens was not deflected,

when they removed all doubt by the Governor they elected.

911: the image that sold the world unjustified wars;

“conveniently” gave oily war profiteers an excuse to settle old scores.

U.S. agenda-driven leaders promote fear through politics and religion;

a tool perfected by the Nazis to coerce citizens into submission.

Imagination; more important than knowledge Einstein said.

Imagine an intelligently progressive civilization and you’ll wind up dead.

Independent thought; I like it a lot,

so my place in the New World Order is not.

Evolution; of course it’s true ,

we have physical evidence through and through.

But “intelligent design” isn’t based on fact;

faith is the non-evidence to substantiate that.

… and while on that subject, …

God Bless America, if she must,

but let’s pluralize it and be just.

Or better yet, let’s put all fairy tales to rest,

it’s time for intelligence to reign – the best! 

If not, then know this, …

… my people; the ones not under the spell,

we’re only 15%, but united, we’ll give ‘em their hell!

So, with the use of the history-proven percentage for successful revolution;

humans will have the opportunity to shed their sheep-skins and move toward illumination,

… and become Individuals.
