Relax it's just a thought, and I wrote it after thanksgiving, long after the turkey would come back up Ha!

Poem Artwork

A thanksgiving thought!

Give thoughts some room

And set them free

Sweep thoroughly with the broom

New thinking let there be

For instance say your genes could be

In a soup of atoms

Got together so it seems

To make a new anatomy

Now you think you are unique

And so you really are

The reason why, is more oblique

And knowing more by far

But yet we know that all there is

Is part of cosmic soup

That being you, a moment’s bliss

Within a special group

Recombination’s when atoms bond set loose

When your cosmic combination

In death become a goose

No need for consternation

Like any soup it’s murky

You could think it odd to be

Might become a turkey

In the land of the brave and free!

Your thoughts make me laugh, make me sad, and make me contemplate who I am. Yet, I like the soup I was made of - hearty and substantial.

God bless you. Kathy
