The guilt trip I had laid on me about that little doggie,
I asked my little one in my heart to forgive, the only difference is that, she was pure white and it was black, and being funny and full of mischief as she always was, I thought of her first, trying to cheer me up, a Wild Turkey, I mean come on, it sure did the trick, I laughed out loud many times that morning in the backyard just picturing it, now the neighbours know for certain,
I’ve cracked. Bless you all!
Turkeys, cottontail rabbits, coyotes, deer, skunks, raccoons, to name a few----we have them all in the cities here, Jasmin, but, thank God, no prime ministers. We've had good fortune in having Obama take our governor to Washington for a new carreer, very tough getting rid of governors. And, I've thought of taking up drinking Wild Turkey, as I understand, a top bourbon......Jerry
Jasmin, I experienced a similar situation a few months ago -- three wild turkeys in my yard -- I too live in a town, albeit not the capital city -- these three ladies(hens) stayed in the area for several weeks before moving on to greener pastures
(back into the woods) I guess -- it was delightful having them around -- I too wrote a poem about the occasion, "Three Ladies" -- thanks fors haring an experience all would enjoy -- peace and love --Jon Michael
hahaha I told you Jas, the animal world is drawn to those they know accept them. You and Ed are two who most likely have unusual run-ins with animals birds etc.;-)gotta luv it;-)et
I've been known to sip Wild Turkey whiskey once in awhile (pretty good stuff), but I've yet to see a wild turkey out my window, even when the sippin was pretty heavy.
I think you should put out some turkey food, and hide in the bushes, and see what happens. And don't smoke any of that old Jersey Devil's whacky weed while you're a hidin there - turkeys have a keen sense of smell!
Love the "spirit" of this write my friend and glad to see you are not going to let what happened get to you, it is distressing for sure but you make up for it in so many other ways.
