I know my friends you care,
I know your heart is tender,
For if a poet’s soul you share,
Your heart to love surrender,

And as I look to see,
All her beauty all her charm,
That Mother Nature brought to me,
Share love with her, not harm,

So poet friends, as I know your heart,
I am proud to have such friends,
You’ll always of my heart be part,
As with pen, not sword you fence,

Gentle souls of rich endowment granted,
Brave you say your heartfelt words,
Ne’r to be recanted,
Turn mighty pen to mighty swords,

Continue bravely on my friends,
Speak of love, of life, and natures gifts,
Help the weary in their defence,
Build mountains with your pens, heal nature’s rifts,

I ask of you, for raw my feeling,
Touched by want and greed and earth destruction,
Send out your voice, I am appealing,
In red of blood write your instructions,

A million pens, swords at your side, march,
Bleed love, compassion with your pen,
Beneath that triumph hallowed arch,
Raise arms and help your ken,

Every bird and bee, and every tree,
Defend this godly hallowed ground,
Where you were born to be,
Where beauty, nourishment and love you found,

I ask of you, please do not wait,
Help these creatures, their mother, yours
Set word to pen, the time is late,
Instead poison greed, your fate conjures.©25/02/2010

Oh, how I love this poem and its message, dear Jas! One of your best, methinks. If we all follow the "positive" road and contribute good deeds, how much we can accomplish for Mother Earth and its creatures - including man/womankind.
Blessings and Love - Micke
