writen in 9/May/2007... there are so many values we just go around teaching them with out thinking about what we are teaching!...
All stories that touch our hearts
Bringing to us deep emotion
Making us dream
And believe in better worlds
They are stories of disobedience:
Romeu e Julieta
People, so many people
In the middle of difficult situations
That going against all the rules
Save strangers and friends
Like, in the 2ª. World war
Against Hitler and fascism
Saving thousands of Jews lives!
Heroines like Joanna D’Arcy
Slaves that rebel
And prefer to die standing up
Then live kneeling down
Martin Luther king
So many names, so many people!
Many scientists discovers
Were forbidden
Unauthorized by authorities
By the rules
By the different laws
Moral, social, political, physics!
Real or fiction heroes
The ones which make us dream
Filling our minds with pride
Of belonging to humans specie
Touching our hearts
In different and many ways
Are disobedient people!
So, may I ask you:
Why do we persist
in teaching obedience?
Shouldn’t we be shifting to change?
Start to teaching the honor
The heroism
The courage
The beauty of being disobedient
Of following our heart
And our conscience
Realizing how disobedience
Can save many more lives
And how much faster
It can bring love into the world
To all of us!

I like this. It reminded me of something my grandfather once said...that blind disobedience should be punished, respectful disobedience should be applauded. Well done!
You would think, by now, we would have learned...when you tell someone NOT to do something that IS what they WILL DO! We've forgotten how to use "phychology". I enjoyed reading this one. Thanks for sharing it with us.
