'Building a Sand Castle'
Watch me build a castle;
A great sand castle by the sea...
With lots of windows
And a big strong wall...
I’ll keep it from falling
Like the rest of it all.
I’ll keep it from washing away
To the ocean.
I’ll keep it from crumbling back down
To the sand.
A fortress, my castle...
Built with my own hand.

This poem has so much to offer that it glows with warmth as the writer's heart builds the walls to protect the soft tissues so easily hurt or washed away like the grains of sand when hit by a wave. Sweet.

How sweet and endearing a piece this is. Built many a sand castle, always including a moat, but alas....when the tide came rolling in......it was gone. Good write.
