"Thoughts Adrift"

I am standing on that cliff,
looking at the horizon with thoughts adrift;
Wondering what happened to our love
and praying for some answers from above.

On that cold and rainy night
love left like birds in flight.
Flying quickly over head
leaving me with feelings of dread.

Only thoughts of confusion
can quell this delusion.
I have taken to the air
going from here to there.

Leaving puffs of smoke and dust
never again will I trust
you with my heart and my soul
knowing that flight was such a toll.

Standing on that cliff so high
can I jump from earth to sky?
Shall I land back on the ground
knowing you will not be around?

Amber there has to be a happy ending to be where you are or move on in life, there is a love for each and everyone in this world, all we have to do is be patient until it comes our way.
