"Words Can Be Very Uplifting"

There was this little girl so sad,
Always thinking she was bad.
They told her she must be good;
and she always said she would.
She tried so hard everyday,
But always something bad to her dismay!
Then one day, she read a poem:
about a road not taken,
and with those words not forsaken.
She began a journey of writing her feelings,
and she was able to use those dealings,
as a subject of her word,
so many years later to be heard.
She is a grown woman with a voice,
and always with a choice,
she writes so many poems with intent,
to spread joy and happiness, never, repent.
Peace, love, and light,
Has become her new flight,
to find a place of heaven on earth,
and always remembering her worth!
Author's Notes: Self-esteem is such a fragile part of everyone's life. I can attest first hand, how being raised can either boost or destroy ones self-esteem. I had a rough childhood, but it made me the strong person I am today. Do NOT let anyone destroy your self-esteem. Always, always, love and honor yourself.

The problem is that parents aren't born with ready knowledge on how to plant self-esteem in their child/ren's heads. I for one have always thought there should be mandatory classes on child-rearing for every parent to be. I know that isn't going to happen, so the more literature there is out there--such as your poem and message--that parents might read will hopefully benefit someone.
