A definite life they lead, to be their for their families!
Some had it, where the women went out to protect her family!
I love the Indian culture and always will feel it's strong SPIRITUAL presence!

Amber, you've captured a beautiful picture of a native family living and earning their food in an untamed world and you, the wife, awaits his return from the wild. The family waits when open arms. A great writing.

I felt the earthen feel of this beating nature's drum.

"Alone, I tend to the sick,
praying to the spirits

This poem hits me about today's folks in the military service, and how they long for their loved one's return. It speaks of reality and the torment the a loved one at home feels.
