"Father Sky Sheds Healing Tears" (Karena Series)

by Amber "V" Moonstone     4/05/08

Sister Moon,
Brother Wind,
Father Sky
Mother Earth,

Hear my plea,
Send a message
Guide me on this flight
Protect and send healing light.

The winds have picked up,
The clouds have darkened,
The earth begins to shake,
Father Sky begins to shed tears.

The rain is pelting down,
We must find shelter.
A cave nearby proves to be safe.
We stand under the protection of Mother Earth.

Thank you Spirit of the Elders,
For sending this storm
It has brought safety and peace
To me and my children.

As we lay under the protection of Mother Earth,
My children fall calmly to sleep.
I cannot sleep completely,
For I must be aware of Standing Bear’s men.

The Lightening is like a magnificent show,
It illuminates my soul awakened.
I know not what tomorrow brings,
But I know my family will be safe and together.

I drift into a dreamlike state,
I look out into the lightning
And see my love, Tomas
Standing with open loving arms.

I stand and walk toward him
He is smiling and reaching for me.
I begin to cry out for him
I smile and touch his face.

We fall into each other’s arms,
Feeling the loving energy that explodes
As we desperately kiss and cling to one another.
I am confused, is this a dream?

Tomas looks at me,
Motions toward the cave
And we walk back under
the shelter of Mother Earth.

Tomas removes my gown,
And warms my body with his,
We make love as if no time has passed.
I am under a spell of some kind.

Radiantly we lye in each other’s arms,
Feeling the completeness of our love.
Expressions of lust and longing
Sated as if this was just yesterday.

How can such contentment
And comfort never escape our union?
We have been destined to be joined once more,
The Elders have spoken many times of this.

The Depth of our Devotion,
Is ever burned deeply within our mind and soul.
We must never let this eternal love
Escape our ever powerful thoughts and feelings.

Calmness has surrounded my body,
The morning light sneaks into the recesses of my mind,
I awaken startled to see my children playing outside.
The sun has just risen and birds are singing.

I quickly get dressed and scoop them up and begin
Our journey toward the North where we belong.
This is a new day,
This is the beginning of the rest of our lives.
