Tuscan Sun

by Amber "V" Moonstone    7/28/08

Softly kissed by amber rays
my heart gazed at the
Tuscan Sun.

I walked along the roadside
thinking of you.

As I peered out into the vast valley
The Tuscan Sun was shining brightly.

It laid out patterns of brilliant colors,
against the massive green hills.

There is no where on this Earth,
more beautiful than the Tuscany Countryside.

I long to be under that Tuscan Sunshine,
embraced by the warmth of amber sunlight.

Common everyday people,
more magnificent than kings,

live in those villages,
enjoying life under the Tuscan Sunlight.

I continue my travels along the dirt road,
and two young boys greet me with dirty faces.

I smile, say hello, and watch them ride their trikes
down a steep hill toward dangerous curves.

They are carefree and free riding.
That to me, is living without fear.

My walk ends, as I approach the villa,
a magnificent 16th century converted monestary.

There are many secrets hidden inside of those walls
Some of them coming into my dreams at night.

I have felt energy inside of this Tuscan villa,
and last night I was visited by a spirit.

She was a sixteen year old nun,
and she wanted to tell her story.

She was having an affair with a local boy,
and became pregnant.

The nuns found out and she was tied up
and left to die all alone in the cellar.

She was not completely dead,
but thrown down a well to be hidden.

She wanted to tell her story,
such a sad story in such a beautiful setting.

I was shaken to the core,
and later upon research

discovered this indeed to be a true story.
I was blessed with her release of spirit.

That walk under the Tuscan Sunshine,
released my spirit from my dream.

I was again revived and rejuvenated as
the Tuscan Sunlight kissed me good day.

I embrace my days spent in Tuscany.
I long to return and feel that Tuscan Sun
one more time!

author's notes: This is a true story,
it happened,
in a village of Monticiano, Tuscany, Italy, when I visited in June 0f 2002.  I have never told this story publicly before.  Only close friends and relatives know of my experience there in that beautiful quaint town.  My heart longs to return to that villa..One day I will go back.

Peace, love, and light,

Amber "V" Moonstone

Beautiful Morning To You Vivianna,
Many people can not feel these realms of existences, I am someone who feels & sees like you do. Communication of spirit is on many levels & awarenesses. Some people just close theirselves off to it. Some of us are more receptive to being a guide or a channel or our spiritual ears & eyes are more clear to see, hear, and know & believe. This is all beyond educated knowledge of the mind & that is where some people close off the reality of spiritual communications. I can only imagine, or maybe not even begin to image how awful that encounter of her connecting to you must have felt experiencing her horror & deep grief & terror, but then how beautiful to release her into the spiritual path of your compassion.
Such A Blessing.
Like I Always Say To Non-Believers, "Just Because You Can't See It Doesn't Mean It Doesn't Exist, we cannot see air or radio waves either, but know with certainty it is there." :)
Much Love & Happiness Always

What a wonderful story to pass along and your experience while there is so amazing. Tuscany is where my family on my mother's side come from and I can remember listening to many stories passed down as a child.....

Be always safe,

Spellbinding story to share indeed and yes I can believe it all too easily, the sins of the church were many and varied and this one is so typical of the hypocritical rules the church enforced on its followers.

Amber, how wonderful that you have this gift to experience with your entire being while many simply skim the surface of what life has to offer. You are special and this quality comes forth in your writing.

Amber, thanks for the story and for sharing it with us, Italy has a old and beautiful history that doesn't have only "La dolce vita" decadence that we are bombarded with.
Thanks.
