"Daniel's Decision to leave his Wife" (Karena Series)

Daniel approaches his home,
with hesitation and confusion
he enters the doorway and sees
his wife, Caroline sitting at the kitchen table
crying into her apron.

"Caroline, what is the matter dear?"
"Oh Daniel, I was so afraid you would not
return to me.  I was afraid you would go
back to your people".

"Caroline, I am living in confusion,
I don't know where I belong, please
forgive me, but I must take some time
to discover what has happened to me."

"I am going to leave for a while,
go live among the Earth and discover
the truth that will set me free from
this constant confusion that dwells within."

Caroline just sat watching Daniel pack up
his few belongings.  As he finished,
she gave him a basket filled with food
for his journey. "Here, I prepared this for you, please stay safe and be well."

Daniel kissed her forehead, and left.
As he mounted his stallion, Thunderbolt,
he looked at the horizon as if to announce
this coming journey of self-discovery.

It was easier than he imagined it would be,
no regrets, no sadness, just anticipation
of the truth and a new life.
"Great Spirit of the Powhatan People,
guide me on this journey toward my truth".

Daniel rode Thunderbolt toward the southern sky  until the stars were
gleaming like diamonds in the night.
He came upon an abandoned village.

It looked deserted for quite a long time.
"I shall make a fire and lodge here for the evening."  While he was gathering up kindling a strange sensation overtook his body.  I have been here before, he thought.

Something was very familiar about this village, but his memory could not serve him.
I shall sleep on this, and in the morning, I will discover the answers I need.

During the night, miles away, Karena
restlessly sleeps and awakens during the  middle of the night.  She finds her way to the stream, and does a meditation calling the Buffalo spirit guide to help her.

"My dear Medicine woman, You will receive
your answers to your prayers, Tumas lives,
and will come back to your people.  He will be an even stronger warrior than before, be
patient and continue your medicine healing."

"Oh Great Buffalo Spirit, I hear your message, and I will continue to heal my people, and bring peace and joy to the Powhatan Nation.  In most gratitude and humble offerings, I send essence of my spirit  to your spirit."

Daniel awakens, walks to the fire,
and feels the power of the Great Buffalo Spirit, He hears these words,

"Tumas, You must return to Powhatan Nation, go be the warrior you were born to be, help free your people, and fight for their rights to stay on their sacred ground, Karena, is your true soul mate, you must re-unite with her, there is no time to waste, Go in peace, Go in Love, and Go with the Earth's light and the eagle's swiftness and the owl's wisdom."

At that moment, a sand storm blows up,
a sign from the Great Buffalo spirit, to aid in his healing from the confusion that has lived in his mind for many moons.

Daniel is caught up in this sand storm, feeling the sand chasing away his confusion.
As he stands in the middle of the storm, he realizes why this place felt familiar, it was the village of his birth!
