"DEPRESSION"

by Amber "V" Moonstone

October 23, 2008

This whole country is depressed,
Melancholy, feeling dejected.
High unemployment,
declining housing prices,
and governmental despondencies.

How to overcome this downward spiral,
is on the minds of all U.S. Citizens.
Election time is quickly approaching,
Each candidate no better than the other.
Depression over depression status.

We need to join forces,
resolve money matters,
come together in a peaceful manner,
pray for guidance, and peace.
Help one another to achieve minor goals.

Living one day at a time,
makes everyday easier to cope with,
not looking too far ahead,
becomes more manageable,
and depression leaves for the time being.

Look on the bright side of things,
don't let negativity
over take your life,
think of at least one thing
that is a positive element in your life.

Focus on that positive element,
expand on it, and take relief
from the knowledge that life will go on,
things will get better,
and life will become brighter.

No one deserves what is happening
right now, but it is what it is,
and we must unite to overcome
all of these struggles
and be ready for what is coming.

There will be a new day,
a brighter future,
a more loving human race,
and more life to live
that will be all that more fulfilling!

Just live one day at a time, please.

A beautiful picture that shows how the whole world is feeling right now: what a MESS. I love your positive energy in these lines, lines of healing and hope that sunnier days are ahead: God, I pray so. We ALL need it. Well done.

Very often, living one day at a time, is the only way to get through the day. And I truly hope you're right that better times are on the way.

I agree but on the day to day part for each of us individually but I think it is what is causing a lot of our world problems. When Governments start thinking day to day and not looking down the road with concrete plans with a certain amount of flexability then we are in trouble. When the next election is as far ahead as they see, and they fail to honour promises and laws that were put in place by their predecessors who were also duely elected than we are in trouble. When we get to decide elections on the canditates personal lifes solely regardless of their platforms...we are in trouble. So one day at a time for us but perhaps one century at a time for our politicians.

So true. Seems we've become a nation of depressed people, and that's (forgive the cliche') depressing! God help us; we need to take charge of our lives and look at the many blessings we have living here in America! So many other people in developing nations don't have what we have! Good points you raise, Amber; well done!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
