A Brief History of this period in Karena's Life: Introduction to the 1st Anglo Powhatan War The experience of the Third Supply's flag ship in Bermuda where it had been shipwrecked [overcome through the building of a new boat which subsequently limped into Jamestown] is felt the basis of Shakespeare's final play "The Tempest" which work gives response to Bermuda as perceived by two of the shipwrecked: Gon: ' Here is everything advantageous to life. Ant: 'True; save means to live' . Similar words no doubt were exchanged in Jamestown among the colonists of the Third supply and those of the colony left to meet them. Hence, began the attack against the colonists by the Powhatan Indians.

War Has begun (Karena Series) by Amber "V" Moonstone 5/07/09 Powhatan's trusted warrior, Red Arrow arrived during the night. He spoke to Tumas, "Tumas, Powhatan requests that you return to the reservation, war with the white man is beginning. Powhatan has ordered all his warriors to be on alert, The colonists are returning from the sea. They abandoned their village, but now they return. With more white men, and bigger ships and fire sticks. We cannot survive another year, They must be chased back to their mother land, We will not step aside any longer. The Great Spirit has spoken to the Elders, They want to end this destruction of our people. We must go now, you are Powhatan's best warrior. He needs you to lead this attack. Say your good byes to your family and come now." "Red Arrow, what has happened? Powhatan has only ever wanted peaceful solutions. What has happened to make him change his mind?" "He saw a vision of annilation, all his people gone, He will not sit back and let that happen. He has been in consel with the Elders and the Great Spirit, There is no other way, we must fight back. There is nothing else we can do, we are ready!" Tumas says good bye to his family, once again, and sets off to join his fellow warriors. The days deem brutal, but the Powhatan people are winning. They hold the white men at bay. During the day the warriors hide in the trees, and ambush stray colonists. They never falter. Thier mission is to seek and destroy. Powhatan's heart is heavy, he only desires PEACE! Karena, Eagle Medicine Woman, May 1610

Powhatan's dreams of annihilation as we know were a true vision of the events that came to be.
How can a country that was supposed to be "enlighten by culture" decided that it was OK to enslave African people and to invade other's people's land?

The sad truth of our history is that it was mostly lies that were told to make history and the people that raped and pillaged both land and natives sound like heroes.
