Teaching Is My Life

Touching lives
Touching hearts
Touching minds
Touching souls.

This is what a teacher does,
They touch young people's lives,
while inspiring greatness within
those expanding minds.

The true soul of a teacher
is the endurance to survive
against all obstacles.
Sometimes the days seem so long.

Those are the days with the most rewards,
That student comes to you and says,

"Thank you for showing me how to do
that problem, I couldn't do it without your help"

Then you sigh and say that is what makes this all
matter and why you continue to teach what you know.

Authors Notes:  As the school year winds down,
I will quote a thank you card I received:

"Dear Vivianna,
I don't know if I have ever thanked you properly for
everything you have done over the last three years.
You are an amazing wonderful person and I will be
forever enriched by having known you.  Thank you
for everything you have shown me.  Jackie"
