Smiling Hearts

The Heart dreams in magical colors,
It pumps life into your soul
and allows you to feel tenderness
without thinking logically.

When I think of you,
my heart tenderly smiles,
it feels your pain
and shelters me from your rain.

There is no gravity,
no ground to step upon,
only dreams to awaken the dormant
love that dwells deeply within.

Once upon a moonlit eve,
there was a man and a woman,
gazing upon the shore of opportunity.
This opportunity only knocked once.

Now they are distant,
alone and unattached,
longing for the warmth
of each other's smiling hearts.

Efforts deemed fruitless,
traveling the vast ocean,
an unsurmountable task,
finally abandoning any hope for unity.

Two smiling hearts,
still longing to be joined,
stand patient and calm
awaiting a sign to begin the journey once more.
