The Thaw

Silence of the coldness,
wraps it's grasp around my mind.
Too cold for human thoughts,
shivers flow from my brain.
Allowing only a glance
toward the starlit sky
before thoughts of you
flood my heart with warmth.
As cold as it has been,
I feel a warming glow within
every time I think of
Your tender touch.
Energy from the Universe,
fills me with tenderness
allowing my mind to thaw
feeding my soul with warmth.
Too much cold,
too much snow,
not enough warmth,
not enough love.
Winter is a beautiful time,
but we have had enough,
it's time for the snow to melt,
and bring spring back into our lives.
We all need a dose of sunshine,
a break from this frigid weather,
manifesting warmer days,
and sending positive healing energy to you.

but what i like most about your poem, Amber,
is that you don't condemn but see hope and warmth
on the way;
