I don't know how you manage to keep this level of positive energy, Amber. Towards the end of this poem, it almost felt like a rescue from an end-of-the-world moment. Very nice!

I love this, Amber. It is rousing, stirring and girds heart and soul to action: like a trumpet blast reveille to awaken the slumbering spirit from lethargy. It makes me think that we are either "in" the light or "out" of it, like a spotlight. Walking flooded by light is truly liberating, whereas pacing around the perimeters just observing it, trying to rationalise it from beyond its field leads to inertia and confusion. Betrayal and humiliation are perhaps by-products of being or operating in darkness. Mind-expanding stuff, thank you! :)) xx
