Another beach inspired poem..I have had the opportunity to be at the beach for the past three weeks on and off..it has been a great way to end my summer months off from work...back to school(:

Soothing Me Calm

Sailboats on the horizon
waves soothing me calm.
Tide coming in,
I sit alone thinking of you.

Filling my soul with salt air,
tenders my heart,
hoping you still care,
please, call my name gently.

Sand filled chairs,
salt water fresh,
trickling over my feet
soothing me calm.

Thoughts sent out over the sea,
looking at the horizon once more,
wishing for your ship
to re-capture me.

wanting the touch of your hot skin,
brings waves of desire
flowing throughout my body,
soothing me calm.

Amber, There is a calming effect when waves wash onto the beach. A rythem like the ticking of a clock...very soothing indeed.
