The mood is so soft and gentle, Amber, as you wrap yourself in that warm cocoon of tender thoughts to keep out the cold. The lyrical repetitions are like the flakes softly banking and covering all but that intense inner vision wherein the healing power is desired to go both ways: herein's an igloo and not an iceberg, I think! xx

Oh, how I have missed spending time reading your evocative words. I will try to stay 'on top' of my friends' writings. This one especially touched my heart as my husband is in college out-of-state. Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of LOVE and all it conveys to one's heart.

quality and air and the variations

Very lovely, as soft as a lullaby, Amber! I like that "Turnaround in mood" that is engaging from the opening lines. And the repetitions with slight changes and different details work very well in this poem. :)

Perhaps I am strange but I find snow and snowstorms romantic, either bundled up and walking in one or cuddled up in front of a fire watching from the inside out...
