I have opened Metamorphosis, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Wizard of Oz Musical, Legally Blonde Musical, Carrie The Musical in the past two months! Coming up for air this weekend!! But by the end of April I open Hello Dolly, Two Dance shows, Stop Kiss, Once on this Island, Footloose, and Mary Poppins! Not to mention three shows in July! I make myself dizzy when I write it down!

Lost In The Freeze
by Amber "V" Moonstone

3/4/15

Missing the warm breeze of summer,
Falling into breaking waves,
soft sand, and melting sunlight,
I crave some quiet and solitude.

Wandering along the byways of freedom,
Feeling pulled in so many directions,
makes my mind spin out of control
only to crave some quiet and solitude.

Scraping windows of frigid snowfall,
wrapping up in bundles of warmth,
trying to forget how far summer seems to be,
I crave some quiet and solitude.

Looking at the starry night sky,
brought tears to my eyes,
knowing how much I am missing,
only to crave some quiet and solitude.

Trudging through another six inches of snow,
Cursing that damn groundhog,
watching a breathtaking event, a falling star,
Gave me my quiet and solitude right at that moment!

So pleased that star fell just for you, Amber. It must have been listening to your heart. For souls that are used to listening, help always comes at just the right time. Make sure to factor in some quality you-time soon; your itinerary makes me feel faint just thinking about it! :) xx

This year has been unbelievable. Google Nantucket frozen waves. Very cool. I'm glad your busy with shows but yikes; take sometime for yourself. Stay safe.... Next is the flooding and water damage! Good thing the didn't rebuild dock n dine huh? See ya around....

It's great that you are busy at a time like this when winter seems to hang on forever. I'm sure it helps you keep from thinking about it all the time. I'm also sure that all that work keeps you from writing.

I don't live in the snow zone, but I find that winter gets harder every year. Yesterday it reached 80°, something it hasn't done for over two months. But today, after a front came through last night it will be lucky to make 40°. I'm bundled up for it as I write this.

I love the contrast in emotions expressed in these verse and the whole poetic offering "speaks" to me, Amber. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes to you,

Lost in the deep freeze,
And cold to the bone,
It sure is tough,
Living in the frozen zone.

I do not know how many living on the eastern half of the country can stand the cold. I am so spoiled living on the west coast and enjoying a warm Spring. Excellent poem.
