With an ordinary life
Living to get by
Trying to get it right
Weekdays 9 to 5
Can barely make ends meet
Still, it’s good to be alive
Instead of on the street
Just an ordinary gal
With an ordinary pal
He treats her with respect
About as good as she expects
Home alone all day
Two kids to keep at bay
Bored beyond her dreams
A pretty ordinary scene
Just an ordinary man
With an extraordinary wife
Who chose to take his hand
With him to make her life
Just an ordinary woman
With extraordinary mate
Who provides the roof above
For her the one he loves
Just and ordinary family
But extraordinary too
Who built a life together
Who share a love so true
In a world so full of hurt
In times so ripe with pain
Ordinary’s like deep rich earth
Renewed with the morning’s rain
