I stood in line to buy my morning coffee still in a sleepy daze
I looked up to discover a ruddy, sunburned, Marlboro man
With a handle bar mustache covering half of his face
Are you new here?
I do not think we have met
I said still half awake
He said, No, I have worked here for quite sometime
I ordered my coffee,
waiting in anticipation for something to clear the haze
Glancing at the cowboy
My eyes went to the floor
His legs were curvaceous in four inch heels
Sensual, with silky black stockings
My mind was confused
I sat down to drink my coffee
Slowly, I began to ponder the cowboy's ambiguity
"How could a cowboy have nicer legs than me?"
Still confused, I decided I needed a second cup
He handed me my coffee
Have a nice Halloween
I laughed, still unsure of the cowboy's identity.
