You say you’re fifty years old
So what, what does that mean
You think you know something
Yes, you really have your act together
Wrong, wrong, wrong,
You haven’t been dropkicked
Through the goal post of reality
You think you’ve got it all figured out
You have a relationship of some kind
A job or enslavement
A house or a mortgage
A car or a car payment
A cat or an eating machine
A dog or a vet bill
Good health
A visit to the hospital
Good looks
Crows feet and wrinkles
Down to earth and sane
Future neurotic
A child
A lifetime commitment
Money
One step away from homelessness
Time for your dropkick
Through the goal posts of reality
Divorce
Fired
Repossession
Cat sick
Dog dies
Car accident
Sags and bags
Psychosis
Pregnant child
Shopping cart
Yeah! You scored! Won the game!
One point for kicking the ball
One point for playing the game.

Awesome. You are right on. I had to chuckle at the pregnant child. Both of my daughters are pregnant. lol. I think I've been drop kicked through the goalposts of reality too many times. Excellent. Liz
