Poem Artwork

Its a Long Long Road

The road seems too long,
graveled of no beginning,
with no end in sight.

Flip flops,
faded blue jeans,
hair tied in a pony,
only heartache lies on my back,
sad song.

Kicking up the dust,
blinded with no direction,
I'm hopelessly lost.
Take this aching heart away,
before I crumble and die.

My angry soul screams out Why?
As I reached out to the sky,
an Angel was sent no lie.

Came upon a town,
"I'd like an application,"
I shall call this, Home.

Wonderful when the long and seemingly painful road at times ends up... Home! As flowing in sentiment as in styles, which, given the multiplicity of forms, is no mean feat. An admirable challenge, I'd say! Kate xx
