Empty

She tucked herself in,
emptiness, within a shell,
for she was nothing

A bitter feeling. Expressing it in haiku form makes the sadness even stronger.

A solitary, and yet still there is a hidden message... emptiness is not all what's perceived... A turtle does live a long journey... Thanks for sharing...

One can feel empty inside. But God simply can NOT create nothing. We must remember this saying: "You may only be one person but to one person you may be the world." Amen

If you feel left out

Then give me shout

I'll come running.

Cause I think you're really something special!!

a rainy day mood everyone experiences periodically -- it is the emergence of the invigorated persona from the shell with renewed purpose and joy that is a thing of beauty and joy Christine -- I bid you love and peace my dear friend -- Jon Michael

Such a sad poem, with such a lovely turtle pic. (Although I am partial to turtles, they were among my first childhood pets.)

Certainly not you, Christine,
even if at times you feel that way
and we all feel that way sometimes;
taut and pointed, resonant.

ahh... but then... the nothing that was there merely masked the everything she would yet become... emptiness is sometimes fuller than one might seem. In the stillness of remembering comes a moment to cherish more than forever. Peace Christine.

This is a wonderful, apt metaphor, like when the soul needs to go deep into questions, suffering...in the dark, or too this reminds me of the loneliness and darkness a chrysalis has to endure as she waits for her new life and can't go back into her old one even if she wants to...
I hope this is not auto-biographical and if it is just know how celebrated and exquisite you honestly are!
I have gotten too gabby :)
Blessings,
Christine

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
