Help, Monsters!

Help!
Monsters in my closet.
Monsters in the hall.
Monsters underneath my bed
and Monsters in the wall.

Monsters 'hind my bedroom door.
They’re in the bathroom, too.
I know they're ugly
green ones,
maybe even red or blue!

My bed feels like an island
with the
monsters everywhere.
... til Mommy says goodnight to them,
then they all just
disappear ...

A friend wrote poem about a wolf recently...and as a way of "changing the subject", I totally retranslated the gist to humor and commented that I was reminded of the wolf/monster I was convinced lived beneath
my childhood four poster bed. And now your precious MONSTERS have reminded me for real. Mine must have been a good one cause I'm still around..., but gosh , he was real enough to remember still and he wasn't even green! A cutie of a write CJ.
Love and smiles,
Taylor

Now I'll dream of monsters. That was graphically and poetically well done. Victor

I love this...you've truly captured the inner child with this one. You've described my granddaughter, she is sure that a monster is lurking everywhere in the house, but when her mommy says it is okay she is ready to settle down and go to sleep just because mommy says so. Your writing is always so creative, I loved the layout...Again great write!

Oh wow this reminded me so much of my childhood when I'd take a flying leap for my bed, convinced that there were monsters hiding under it. My bladder would be at bursting point before I'd go to the loo because I was terrified they'd grab my feet if I got off the bed. I love these writes. I read the one about 'little sister' last night and meant to reply to it but got distracted. That one gave me a good giggle. You are so good at this.

CJ, this is adorable and ready for publication with all the highlights and color. I love it. Mo has her own 'monsters can't get me blanket' that I told her chases away the monsters. You're so good with this pre-school poetry. Of course I want a signed copy.
love ya
