great write! I too hate holes in socks...and it seems my favorite pairs always lay victim! HA! Now if I could just darn a few...but who darns these days? Darn't all!

Holes in socks are such a waste 'cause they only appear most times on the left or right sock, never on both at the same time. Then what do you do with the sock with no hole? Suddenly it doesn't have a partner. Geez, it's like when a person loses their mate...it's like riding a bike with a missing pedal!

Holey Mackrel! I concur with your thoughtful insights totally! Can't understand why socks aren't TRIPLY reinforced at heel and toe.

wonderful write CJ, guess what got to church last night and my toe felt a bit odd inside my shoe. I knew that old feeling...yeap you guessed it I had torn a brand new socks had a hole in it!!!

And holes let the laughter out when I read your poetry young lady. In what playful little recess of your mind do you store all this stuff? As a whole, I'd whole-heartedly say your poetry is wholesome and...well...sometimes pretty deep.
