Beautiful poem...as Victor said great poem for grown ups, especially parents and teachers. Children are so sincere with their precious gifts and often unappreciated by adults. Great write CJ, reminds me of a little boy that was in my classroom several years ago, everyday she brought me a gift of a beautiful tiny stone that he would search the playground for, I always accepted his gift with praise and finding something unusual or unique about the little pebble. By the end of the year the pebbles filled a basket on my shelf, each special...I'll save the remainder of this story...you've got my creativity flowing this early Friday morning my dear friend...thank you so much hadn't thought of this beautiful little boy in a while...you've given me the foundation threads of my next write, I'm not sure if after the web is complete if it will be a poem, story, or article...loved this write. You are a kindred spirit my friend!

I guess adults crying over a little flower can be puzzling to a child. CJ, you're so clever in capturing the innocence of children. Great write, you talented poet! And yes, your subject is cute!
