A delightful poem rich as ever in originality (eg excellent left/right dichotomy) and potent as ever to trigger one's own childhood memories. My starting point was not so much childhood but a song called Tyger (Tiger):
'Tyger, tyger,
burning bright,
in the forests
of the night...
very funny childs poetry Cj, made me laugh and figure, us adults still have nightmare also sometimes. Of course they're not as scary as they were when we were children, it's only a dream
Oh this one is made for a book for sure and I can see the illustrations in it clear as day in my mind, you do excel at children's writes for sure, but then you do at the adult as well.
A wonderful write...brought back so many memories of myself crawling into bed with my mom because of bad dreams, my children crawling into our bed because of bad dreams, and unfortunatly my husband's snoring...your way with children's poetry amazing me my friend, you capture to perfection...I always find myself clinging on every word till the end...you have a very special talent my friend! Always a joy to read!

Awesome write,Memories of dreams long ago took hold of me,
Thanks,loved it,
CJ, a darling poem. One that would capture the attention of any child. You are a very talented Writer. If you get a moment, I would like you to check out "Train of Stars." I would love to hear your voice and opinion of that poem. Fabulous write.
I love the pic. :) My dreams are not about animals stalking me, they're about tornadoes and other storms.............I'll have to take the daddy's advice and turn the page, and hope it works. :) Are you sure it wasn't the daddy's snores that brought on Bad Dreams? My daddy roared loud in his sleep (and so do I LOL). An excellent, charming poem.
As always you churned a charming one, why is that children poems are so enchanting?
Why are so more enchanting when they are written with such love for them?
I hope my great gend children don't think of me as a tiger "if" I snore, I got the strips, yet...
Well done my friend.
Georg
Looks like your muse is back from vacation CJ with some good stuff. The child's nighttime spookeymen are well told here. You always capture their thinking perfectly with no exception here. Well done my friend.
The multiple award winning, 5 Star story of a baby penguin who searches the world to find the woman that saved his life. A wonderful novel with a Christmas feel. Loved by all 4 - 94. Novel or E-book
Gary Grasshopper and friends travel to another field to celebrate the birthday of Gary's best friend, Freddie Firefly. While there they encounter a group of cicadas who have been underground for thirteen years.
Colorful interactive book for teaching children the ABC's using God’s creation of the animal kingdom and featuring some of His most exotic creature. More importantly the book segues into the very special love God has for children.
Delightful! I could feel this child's fear of the terrible tiger and grizzly bear! You have amazing talent, C.J.
Many blessings,
~Linda

Outstanding story-poem. "Bad Dreams (Children)" sings imagination and educate wisely.
