I dare you to live,
I dare you to shine,
To start something new,
To say that you’re mine.
To pick up your hope,
Repair shattered dreams,
Piece together lost love
Sew it up at the seams.
I dare you to smile!
Like never before,
Like you’ve never been hurt
Like we were made for.
To sing in a crowd,
To dance in the rain,
To swim in the ocean,
Laugh like your insane.
I dare you to act
Like you’re seven years old,
And stay in the shower
Until the water gets cold.
To laugh at bad jokes,
To soak up the sun,
To go for a jog,
That turns into a run.
I dare you to watch
As the sun sets tonight,
Then go for a walk
In the shining moonlight.
I dare you to remember,
Then forgive and forget,
For your troubles are over,
And the best isn’t here yet.
I dare you to smile,
I dare you to flirt,
I dare you to dance
Like you’ve never been hurt.
To count stars with a friend,
Make a wish when one falls,
To jump up for joy
And run down the halls.
To hold your head high,
To go see a show,
To make up a story,
Act it out as you go.
I dare you to dream,
And make dreams come true ,
I dare you to love,
And that’s what you should do.
