clearing energy within the self can often be as easy as this poem describes -

triggers are signposts to the self to look deeper within, in this case just awareness was enough, also an internal visual self hug works great

our natural state and birthrite is to be joyful - we create and experience our suffering through our personal perception of the world

Poem Artwork

a humid thickened into heavy air
cascading density, nary room to breathe
feeling triggered and irritable
i paced and lay prone shifting
from vertical to horizontal
knowing what i felt was fear
something, somewhere deep within
not panic or pain or terror
but the random descriptive of
aware

heightened senses, feelings acute
suffocating in the coolness of this
basement room were bits of
suppression and constriction
it was time to move
i stretched and spun
around the room
reaching beyond these
moments of gloom
attached to this house
and wistful landscape

exit myself and pouty lips
observe a depth of deeper still
and face my inner tense

and in the moment that very moment
when i stopped and looked
it was all so personally obvious and
absurd and completely ridiculous
and just like that it vanished
for it no longer held an unconscious power
it was only a recollection stuck
unrelated to this day
triggered by the density
long forgotten in my cellular memory

i stretched and touched joy
just there, at the fingertips
glowing golden and expansively breezy
life works in humble ways
and the imagined splendor becomes my reality
and you know what,
i enjoy its beauty

Dear Debby,

I, too, believe that we were created to be happy. This poem encapsulates that concept. I especially love the last two stanzas.

Love & Light always and in all ways,

like the last verse very much, and the description in the poem. 'i stretched...' is how i relate to the intro and poem i think - and in breathing, the sunset and moon rising this evening was something else...enjoy reading your words Debby, thank you, Nicky x

When one can stretch out and touch joy with the tip of the fingers...
it is like holding and unconscious power which will perform in so many levels, even to the acute.

we create and experience our suffering through our personal perception of the world

How true that is, on so many levels, each and every day.

This is so descriptive of what takes place that I'm in awe of your ability to write of it with such ease. We truly are our own thermostat and if we temper our feelings accordingly we can do wonders. Masterful writing Debby and great art!

You are a complicated artist ... I respect that!
The creative process is an enigma!!!
A self hug?
Sounds like creative implosion!
I know this space that you write about dear Debby ... feeling oppressed to a degree but also open to any tidbit of inspiration that may manifest itself as dew on morning roses.

Bless you dear Poet!
Richard
