beholden upon the gateway of private jewels...a charm, a sealed locket of passion, a corset from the healing hands of sensual servitude:

Poem Artwork

 Chasms of Desire

The sunset slices through the realm of servitudes

Grasping at our soul within cosmic destiny

Offering us the vacancy to fill our carafes

Where the seclusion of tomorrow is unknown

And our lingering voices diaphanously whisper

Perfuming across the great divide of time and space

Awakening an unforgotten moment in time's compass

Recalling how she unwraps herself like a precious gift

Undestroyed by the harshness of deep wounds

And living blissfully among the limbs of truth

(no matter how painful their briars)

Overseeing every magical essence that breaths

Spilling her nectarous choices and decisive moments

Across the gardenia garden of her orchid’s privacy

Living among the garden of archaic proverbs & psalms

Palm to palm among ageless thorns and siring moonlight

Surrendering passion to the whet chasms of desire

Where their treasure troves meld as an eclipse of love…

Love and passion can be expressed in so many ways. Definitely not raw here like a rare steak, but refined and flowered like the garden it could be. Quiet and sensual. I enjoyed the gorgeous language Victoria. Bob

if a poem could be said to be sentient, then this one would... suffused with sensuality and a naturalism writ large, raw with the rush of rustling skirts, sussurations, and an osmosis of organic delight... expressed with the rarest of mingled images... all that is missing is the tulips entwined... but "her orchid's privacy" more than makes up for those purses... bravo, Victoria.

Your verses give me the impression of a sensuous woman adorned with precious jewels in a necklace with a glittering emerald shining above her bosoms celebrating her sensuous beauty.

You're a riddling fox I swear! Oh safety pin oh safety pin my chastity perhaps you know where the key fits..."Where their treasure troves meld as an eclipse of love" puts the squeeze on alchemical metaphor does it not? I mean, the GC swells the whole of its ego in All-That-Is giving rise to...oh why don't I just say it! Giving rise to where the kiss evolves where I leave off and she begins...spread the noise lip to lip palm to palm...fill the carafe with sweet reward...this poetry is copper's way of turning chemistry's arousal at the touch of a fingertip coaxing mineral properties unnamed...

Yours xoxo

Beautifully worded, Vickie. You brought forth so many priceless thoughts, i.e., "Undestroyed by the harshness of deep wounds," and "Surrendering passion to the whet chasms of desire," to name just two. In my opinion, this happens to be one of your very best. And THAT is saying a lot.
