hmm, there is much to be said in this work. both written and yet there seems to be words not yet spoken. what does he see in his fear? for it is not the mirror of her life. for she is bold and profound, yet he shrinks from the waves that topple his soul and the storms that trouble his heart. continue on dear Dawn.

Your poem causes us to "see" the eyes are mirrors to the soul. At first, I thought the "...admit defeat" was to passon, then I reread your title and it all makes sense. We really are proud human beings who don't want others to read us.
