I can see Lancaster and Hepburn through the feel of your poem. I like your lines for this such as "touching her without ever raising his hand." I also really like your simile of likening the sky to a freshly laundered sheet. Good play of one art form, a movie, touching another art form, poetry.........Jerry

Just wonderful, Dawn ~ I love every line. Each word is essential and the perfect choice. Your overall composition casts the most romantic spell in exactly the way - the elegant way - the old movies do. I, too, am a fan of Katherine. It's funny how even with one's eyes closed, you can tell an old movie from modern simply by the voices and manner of speaking.

This is so romantic from head to toe Dawn. I can feel my toes curl with delight reading these gorgeous and beautiful lines.

Dawn - Loved that movie , too. That first stanza really captures that release of potential when fear and uncertainty are swept aside:

and the thought of him causes her face to

light up with �un�laughed laughter.

Also liked those last lines that encompass both the human potential and limitations simultaneously:

Strange, how life can seem enchanted

at times�and the word �complete�

almost feels like a definite possibility!

Loved Katharine, love how you captured her in these few lines:

She basks in a pool of sunlight -
a now snug and familiar place, the
sky stretching above like a newly
laundered sheet.

I liketo think that whatever you desire is a definite possibility.
