A grandmother's feelings towards the birth of her first grandson and her heart's expression of thanks to the Heavens.
It rained today But my spirits are high A spirit of gladness Of joy and thankfulness And yes, A spirit of gratitude
My heart is filled with wonder As I gaze into your eyes As I hold your tiny hands As you move your little limbs As I listen to your soft breathing
I cannot hold back my tears Nor can I stop my arms From constantly reaching out To hold you, kiss you Hug you and squeeze you
I thank the Good Lord For the rain today For the smile on my face For the gratefulness in my heart For beautiful thoughts in my mind
Most of all I thank God for you My sweet little boy My new level of generation The Good Lord’s Most amazing creation!
