One's history is important to share as there is so much beauty. I like your take on one's historical roots. It gives me so much to think about - MY roots.
Cryss, that's beautiful! I'd leave out the word "as" though. It doesn't add anything, and skews the grammar a bit. You could make it into a tanka with a little work. (5-7-5-7-7,unrhymed) I love, love the word slave in there-- you a slave to roots, plaiting histories into one-- it's fabulous. --Char
