I have some good news and I have the bad...which do you want first?

Betrayal

I Liked Him for talking my granddaughter into coming home.
He looked a little different with piercings and didn’t own a comb.
But it didn’t matter about the outside for he did a wonderful thing.
Until my daughter noticed the loss of her valuable diamond ring.

Who could have taken this ring was her first concern?
She knew it wasn’t her daughter but felt her stomach churn.
The only people in the house were the three of them.
“Could he have stolen it,” she thought, over and over again?

She finally called the police and told them the suspicions she had.
But she felt she was betraying her daughter and she felt really bad.
Even after all his denials and trying shift the blame other places.
The wise detective talked to him kind of stern and abrasive.

The fear in him was evident and it finally overcame all other things.
So he gradually opened up and admitted that he did steal the ring.
My granddaughter was totally shocked & devastated feeling so deceived.
But when they put the handcuffs on him, my daughter felt relieved.

The ring was returned the following day while they we’re barely coping.
Will this open my Granddaughters eyes was what we all were hoping?
This would be worth it at any price if somehow her eyes were opening.
None of us have anymore tears to shed, but we have trust and are hoping.

He may have felt he was owed a reward for his deed!
Instead of the warming of ones heart from good deeds...he needed some ICE...to sell for cash!

Trust is earned, not by promises, words of assurance, or innocent face, trust is earned by actions of unselfishness and with a purity of spirit.
Opening the eyes of a naive one is the first step to obtain trust.

The bad will always outlive the good... Thank God she is home!!! and Thankfully, he admitted to the theft (altho definitely coerced to admit it)...so character???? not much!! Be glad he's out of the pix we hope! Sometimes people/the young are so blind... we all were to some extent! She is blessed to be home safely...and lucky to have the gorgeous ring back...what a scare that must have been...and... it's not always over.... so just stay close and keep trusting God and believing... what a time you've had... be safe and take care of your health my friend... hugs, lindalaw

Yeah, hopefully she see's, but sometimes, even though he is a thief, love, even though she just feels like or lust, covers everything up...she will come around in time...and man, what a beautiful ring, I would have been long gone if I had appropriated it...Ed

He did a good thing by bringing the granddaughter home but, you DO NOT mess with the bling. And a might gorgeous piece of bling it is.
