The blues, they done got me.
The blues, they done got me.
The blues, they done got me
ag'in.

Blues steal the other colors.
Blues hog ever'  light..
Blues run off with ever'  lie
we need to get through the night..

These blues never leave.
These blues sneak up our sleeves.
These blues attack our bellies,
Then trampoline into our hearts..
This time, I swear, they are after
my soul.  Reckon maybe I pass
on the outside, but don't look inside,
'cuz all you will see is the blues.

Somebody bluer, sing to me, please?
Remind me we got through before.
Tell me there's more to life, please,
'n' bein' blue, then bein' blue more -?

Hear you!  I do, I do!
Gotta admit, you sound  pretty blue,
But here you are singin!’ – Me, too!
Gon’ send ‘em runnin’, these blues.

Gonna hit us again, these  sorry ol’ blues,
But next time, you’ll think of me,
and I’ll think of you.
That makes two!
Get more victims of the blues to hum
along in chorus,  beat ‘em every time
or I don’ know my blues.

The blues, they done got me
ag'innnnnnn.

So thanks fer thinkin of him and me, and I really like your Blues tune!
