Many years have gone by
Since the day we met
Memories of an old porch swing
Where we used to sit
We wrapped in a warm blanket
Watching the rain
We had both been so alone
Hiding behind the pain
I will never forget
The tenderness of your kiss
Holding each other close
Relaxing in total bliss

Your eyes reflected my love
As you looked at me
Time has woven its fragile web
Now what do you see
Are you happy in your soul
That I wear your ring
Do I still melt your heart
Am I your everything
Have your feelings changed
Do I still belong to you
Do you love me as much
As the day we said "I Do"

So many shared moments
Linger softly in my mind
You gave me so much love
I never thought I'd find
How fast the days dwindled
Now here we are
Standing side by side
Sometimes you seem so far
Gazing in my eyes
Do you see my tears
Tell me, do you still love me
After all these years

Linda, I absolutely LOVE this poem. It's written so beautifully and it expresses what every mate feels after all of their years together, after experiencing what life has to throw at us.
