The Human Connection

I wrote this one a while ago, after I received an email from someone a world away....who read one of my poems and felt my words touch her soul! How beautiful is that!

I poured my thoughts into an ode
For all the world to see
And my poem touched a human soul
A world away from me!
Somehow in the vastness
Of this world where millions roam
My poem found a place to dwell
A stranger’s heart its home!
My sonnet meant a lot to me
And as near as I can tell,
To another soul I’ve never met
It meant as much as well!
The human connection is genuine
As evidenced in this rhyme
So I’ll persist in reaching out
And linking souls to mine!

I think that most of us that become submitters to and on Authors Den want and hope for others to read and, hopefully, enjoy what we have written. You, my far northern friend are a fantastic poet because, at least for me, I can well understand what you feel and what you write and you do do that so well.
