Do you remember-
Holiday's flying in
Your parents
Invited relatives for dinner
You were excluded
From the dinning table
You were not an adult
Instead you sat
At a table for five
With cousins,
Some younger then you
How you longed-
To sit at the big table
Enjoying, listening and belonging

What universal appeal this one has, Deborah. And sitting at the 'kids table' when you are a teenager is so awful that you'd rather be excused! ~~ Diana
Yes I remember them too. The kids sat at their table and we had a lot of fun. I don't remember wanting to sit at the big table too much because we were told to eat everything on our plate...at the time I hated mashed potatoes...and the dogs at the house got real fat that time of year...hahahah
To the good old days!!
Hugs to you for sharing this great memory~!
